“Doctor” I said, “Do you think that is something I have not heard or tried before? If I could eat only 1200 calories a day, I wouldn’t be here, and I wouldn’t weigh 293 pounds!

That was it. That day I was done with conventional diets. I would never be told again what I could and could not eat. I had been trying it their way for 45 years and I didn’t care what happened I could never go on another diet. I was defeated.
