Are you sick and tired of being told what you can and cannot eat to lose weight. I was too!
The breaking point came when I went to a weight-loss specialist. After reviewing everything, he looked at me and said the plan was simple: eat 1,200 calories a day.
I sat there in disbelief.
I weighed 293 pounds, and that was the best solution he could offer me?
I finally said, “Doctor, do you really think that’s something I haven’t heard-or tried-before? If I could successfully eat only 1,200 calories a day, I wouldn’t be sitting in this office and I certainly wouldn’t weigh 293 pounds!”
That was the moment everything changed.
I decided I was done with conventional dieting. For 45 years I had let other people tell me what I could and couldn’t eat, and it had only left me feeling frustrated, defeated, and trapped.
I knew one thing for certain: I could not spend the rest of my life chasing diets. There had to be a better way.

Have you tried diet after diet after diet, only to lose a few pounds and then regain it all back—plus more? You are not alone!
Maybe your story sounds like mine.
I spent thousands of dollars on diet programs, boxed meals, meetings, shakes and every specialty food item you could imagine.
I wasn’t just tired of dieting, I was tired of wasting money, starting over, and feeling like I had failed…again.
But the problem wasn’t me. The problem was the diet industry.
You see diets tell you what to eat but they rarely help you understand why you eat. Until you address the why, lasting change is almost impossible.

And then I got the diagnosis.
I was diagnosed with non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. I was told there was only one thing I could do to prolong my life:
Lose weight.
Now that was a problem because I didn’t think losing weight was ever going to happen for me.
But this time, giving up was not an option.
So I drew on everything I had learned through 45 years of struggling with my weight. I studied what actually creates lasting change, challenged everything I thought I knew about dieting and developed the Think Thin with Trina Five-Step Plan.
The result? I lost 150 pounds-and for the first time in my life I found freedom instead of another diet.
Today I help other women discover that same freedom.
